A series taken at 2 museums featuring WW II era ships

and planes [Battleship Cove] in Massachusetts, and

historic vintage aircraft [Evergreen Aviation & Space

Museum] in Oregon.

Evergreen Museum is home to "The Spruce Goose", of

Howard Hughes infamy, which spans the length of the

museum building and towers above dwarfing all other

exhibits. The engine detail shown here shows only 3 of

the 8 engines mounted on its 320 ft. wingspan !

I included a torpedo detail shot because it relates

thematically to this set.

One is reminded when inspecting these amazing

machines the debt we owe those who manned them in

the name of progress and our defense. Thank you.
