Aircraft Gallery +1
A series taken at 2 museums featuring WW II era ships
and planes [Battleship Cove] in Massachusetts, and
historic vintage aircraft [Evergreen Aviation & Space
Museum] in Oregon.
Evergreen Museum is home to "The Spruce Goose", of
Howard Hughes infamy, which spans the length of the
museum building and towers above dwarfing all other
exhibits. The engine detail shown here shows only 3 of
the 8 engines mounted on its 320 ft. wingspan !
I included a torpedo detail shot because it relates
thematically to this set.
One is reminded when inspecting these amazing
machines the debt we owe those who manned them in
the name of progress and our defense. Thank you.
